Thursday Thirteen

I’m short on time this week because I’m really trying to finish Fated and get it sent (in its entirety) to my cp’s by this weekend. So this week I am posting the play list that helped inspire the story. Hope you all enjoy!

  1. Dark Side of the City, Indigenous
  2. I’m Not An Angel, Halestorm
  3. I Get Off, Halestorm
  4. Sex On Fire, Kings of Leon
  5. Use Somebody, Kings of Leon
  6. Sound of Madness, Shinedown
  7. Careless Whisper, Seether
  8. Champagne, Cavo
  9. Second Chance, Shinedown
  10. Someday, Nickleback
  11. New Divide, Linkin Park
  12. Bleed It Out, Linkin Park
  13. Cyanide, Metallica

Does music inspire what you write? Have a great Thursday!

Okay, I don’t know what I did wrong but the player simply won’t appear. If you want to hear the songs you can click on pop out player and get them in a new window.

Well, it’s official. I’m old. LOL!

As for your final question? Yes! Music inspires everything I write – sometimes entire storylines. In fact, I had one song I listened to incessantly (by Samuele Bersani, the subject of my T13, today) with the thought of “If I could write the way this makes me feel, if I could capture this melody on paper in my story, I will be a success.”

According to one of my crit partners, I succeeded! πŸ™‚

    Happy TT!
    Ciao!

You’ve got some great ones there. I love Seether, Nickelback and Shinedown. πŸ™‚ Happy Thursday! πŸ™‚

I tend to write in silence, or without music at least but certain pieces do inspire me. IN fact, I have 3 that are fueling a new story in my head.

I write in silence as well. I’m deaf LOLOL Okay, bad joke. Seriously, I write best when the house is quiet. If it gets too noisy and I have a deadline, I’ve been known to turn off my hearing aids.
    Love Nickleback.
    Happy T13!

Love your playlist. Some of these I haven’t heard before but Nickleback and Seether are great favorites of mine.

I have playlists for certain moods and characters. Though sometimes I write to silence. I have playlists labeled, Love, Hate, Angry, Writing General and all sorts of weird names. It’s nice to see other people’s play lists.

I don’t write with music, but I do sometimes associate music with a story.

I love Bleed it out. Lurve it.

Goodie! Free music with a lot of my favorites on the list. Thanks.

Ooooooh!!! Halestorm is a new one on me!!! AWESOME! You know me. I love to have my playlists for every one of my wips.
And you didn’t do anything wrong. The program doesn’t have a code that embeds on WordPress.
    I love this playlist.

Love “Use Somebody” — it’s the only title I recognize. Hope you are to meet your writing goal!

I love Kings of Leon! I don’t really write that much to music, but I make inspirational playlists and take looong walks and plot and make up scenes. Music inspires me, but it also sort keeps me from ‘hearing’ my writing if that makes sense.

I never heard of any of those! LOL!

Glad to see music is really inspiring you! I love Kings of Leon and will have to check out some of the others I don’t recognize.
I use music all. The. Time. Mainly because if I don’t have earplugs in listening to music, then Hubs tends to talk to me. πŸ™‚

I love music but it’s wasted on me when I’m writing. I totally zone out and don’t hear a thing!
